A New Sprout

By an Alliance team member serving in North and Central Asia

Our teammate, Jill,* had been reading the Bible with Anna, who was asking searching questions. When Anna’s grandmother fell ill and went into a coma, the two began praying for the elderly woman’s health. Several months ago the Lord answered their prayers, and the grandmother recovered.

After the healing of her grandmother, Anna attended a women’s conference we sponsored. She indicated on a response sheet that she had prayed with the speaker a prayer of repentance! Another young woman, Nadia, with whom we’d had contact, also prayed to accept Christ during the conference.

Nadia is now meeting with Anna, Jill and another female Russian believer—the first small group the Lord has sprouted from our church plant! Pray that the three women will grow in their faith and love for the Lord.

As many of you know, our ministry support is provided primarily through people like you who give to the Great Commission Fund (GCF), making it possible for us to share the love of Christ with those in desperate need of the hope only He offers.

Giving generously to the GCF will empower us as well as hundreds of Alliance global team members to extend Christ’s love and compassion to lost and hurting people throughout the world.
