In a week filled with evidence of the movement of God among His Alliance people, the weekend services of Council 2015 will be long remembered as times when His presence was deeply felt.

“God’s not just moving through me, but I also believe He is moving through many of you gathered here tonight. So would you preach with me? It’s alright to say amen, it’s alright to put your hands together, it’s alright to celebrate Jesus tonight!” Rev. Charles Galbreath, senior pastor of Clarendon Road Church in Brooklyn, N.Y., started the Friday evening service.
“Jesus is powerful enough to save me, but personal enough to love me,” Rev. Galbreath declared. He stirred the crowded auditorium as he proclaimed the salvation story of the Lord throughout the Scriptures amid applause and spontaneous praise (and gospel piano accompaniment!).
After the sermon ended, Rev. Galbreath and Dr. John Stumbo led the Alliance family in an extended time of worship and repentance as the gathering sought the Lord in prayer.

On Saturday morning, Joni Eareckson Tada, a quadriplegic for 48 years, delivered a message of hope and transformation to all who are suffering spiritually or physically. “Suffering is a little splash over of hell,” Mrs. Tada said. “What are splash overs of heaven? Splash overs of heaven are finding Jesus in the splash overs of hell.”
